Prom Jewelry: Finishing Touches For a Perfect and Memorable Night

Choosing your prom jewelry should not be taken too lightly because this is one of the most memorable days of your life as you move on from high school into adulthood.  You have been waiting for this day since kindergarten and now that it’s here, you should take the time to choose your prom jewelry just as carefully as you are choosing your prom dress.
The jewelry that you wear to your prom does not necessarily have to be new, for instance if you have a favorite set of earrings that you rarely wear but love, or a necklace that you would really like to wear, you can try to choose a prom dress that will go with the jewelry you already have.

One thing to keep in mind when choosing your prom jewelry is to make certain that you will be able to wear it again especially if you decide to have something costly.  You might even consider choosing something that can be worn on other special occasions so that you will never forget this most wonderful night of your life.
Some tips to keep in mind when deciding on what jewelry to wear with your prom dress are the neckline and color of your dress and shoes.  If your dress has a rounded neckline then you will want to choose a necklace that also falls in a rounded shape to compliment the dress.  On the other hand, if you are wearing a prom dress that drops into a v-neck, then you should choose a necklace that has a teardrop style or hangs in a v-style.
The earrings that you choose for your prom jewelry should also match the style of your dress and earrings as well as your hairstyle.  If you have longer hair, you can wear more elaborate earrings but they still need to have some of the same symmetries as your necklace while if you are wearing your hair up or it’s shorter, you will want to have more subtle earrings that still match the dress and necklace.
While choosing your prom jewelry should not be taken too lightly, it should also not be made to difficult. Choose your prom dress, keep the neckline and color in mind and try to make sure your prom jewelry matches both. To complete the elegance of your ensemble, consider prom gloves and a prom shawl to wrap around your shoulders.  Of course, a great pair of prom shoes is almost as important as the dress!
