Vera Wang and Men's Warehouse partner for new formal menswear collection.

Brides to be, there’s some good news for your groom. Say “goodbye” to the standard tuxedo rental because Vera Wang is expanding into formal menswear. In an exclusive partnership with Men’s Warehouse, the new label is called “Black by Vera Wang.”

Fashion icon Vera Wang may be known for her dramatic bridal gowns, but that will soon change. Men’s Wearhouse, one of the largest men’s specialty apparel retailers in the U.S., will debut the Black by Vera Wang collection, hailed as “exceptional quality rental tuxedos at an accessible price point.”

The inaugural collection will offer two modern tuxedo styles, with one style in black and another in gray. Both tuxedos will feature a contemporary fit, including a slightly shorter 30.5″ coat length and narrow 2 1/2″ lapel.  Ultra-lightweight fabrication will allow for a superior drape and luxe feel.

The black tuxedo will feature a two-button notch, grosgrain lapel with side vents, and flat-front pant with a grosgrain stripe detail. The gray style will include a two-button, satin edge notch lapel with side vents and a classic, flat-front pant.

The opening price point for the rental collection is $219.99 for a complete outfit, with both styles offered in standard fit, slim fit and “big & tall” sizing.

The Black by Vera Wang collection will launch exclusively in all Men’s Wearhouse retail stores in the U.S .and Moores Clothing for Men retail stores in Canada in late Spring 2012.
